LENDER WORKFLOWS
Borrower due diligence for bridging lenders
Follow the companies, directors and registered charges behind a borrower, and keep the evidence with your deal.
Inspect a worked credit-paper example: fictional source excerpts, calculations, a reviewer correction and outstanding questions.

Start with the borrowing company
Search by company name or number to review the company record, officers, persons with significant control, registered charges and company insolvency records. Follow directors into their other appointments and explore the network of connected companies. This helps you build a research picture beyond the immediate borrowing entity.
Compare the proposal with the public record
Add the borrower’s proposal and supporting documents to a deal workspace. Ask the AI research agent to compare the supplied information with available company evidence, identify inconsistencies and suggest questions for the borrower. Open the cited records and document passages to check the answer.
Keep the investigation with the deal
Save reviewed findings, sources and outstanding questions alongside the deal brief and files. Colleagues can revisit the shared research when preparing a credit paper. Company and director watchlists can surface supported changes after the initial review, including new charges and appointments.
A question to put to the agent
Investigate the directors and connected companies behind this borrower. Compare the proposal with the available records and list the questions we should resolve before preparing a credit paper.
Questions from lending teams
Does a registered charge show the current debt?
No. A charge records security and may remain on the register after repayment. It does not establish the current loan balance, available equity or the lender’s present exposure.
Does this replace our formal due diligence checks?
Eben supports research and review. Continue the credit-bureau, identity, sanctions, legal and other checks required by your process. Company connections and similarly named people need verification; public filings can lag events.
Can we try it using a borrower we know?
Yes. Book a demonstration with a company name or number. We can start with public records, then agree document access and data-handling requirements before using private material.
Review our data sources and coverage and security and document handling. Pricing and access are agreed around your team, usage and support requirements.
